Smith™ Welding & Cutting Outfit - Heavy Duty HBA-40300

Genuine Smith™ HBA-40300 welding and cutting kit is a premium heavy duty oxy/acetylene torch outfit featuring Smith's proven in-tip gas mixing technology. This greatly improves operator safety and increases torch life. The Smith 40 series heavy duty brass regulators have large 2.5 inch gauges. Outfits come complete with safety and operations manual. All outfits include 2 cutting tips, welding tip, heating tip, tip cleaner.

Covered by Smith's 25-year warranty on torch handle and cutting attachment. Regulators are covered by a 3-year warranty. NOTE: Use of tips not manufactured by Smith or repairs made with other than genuine Smith parts will void the warranty.

Features
  • Graf-Tite soft seats - Resilient Graf-Tite seat material protects tip seating areas from nicking to maintain positive seating. Requires less replacement than metal-to-metal seat designs. Compressible soft seats are practically indestructible and withstand extremely high temperatures, resulting in longer tip life.
  • In-tip mix - Each tip is a precision engineered mixer for combining preheat oxygen and fuel gas to attain maximum efficiency. Adds resistance to flashback.
  • Slip-in tip design just hand tighten After the first tightening with a wrench, only hand tightening is required to seat the tip, saving time when changing tips. Quick and easy tip changes encourage use of right tip for the job.
  • Removable high-pressure seat - Allows cleaning from back of tip.
  • Three-tube construction - Gases are kept separated, eliminating mixing tube burnout. Our thick-wall, high-capacity stainless steel tubes provide high gas flow and superior strength.
  • Ease-on oxygen cutting valve - Allows smooth piercing and keyhole free starts and restarts.
  • Triple o-ring seal - Provides positive gas seal, and allows rotation.
  • Internal threads - Threads are protected from damage if the torch is dropped, eliminating costly torch repair, replacement or downtime.
  • Double-tube handle - Tube-within-a-tube design provides strength while reducing weight. Internal tube is silver brazed for extra protection, strength and leak resistance.
  • Adjustable valve resistance - Special PTFE packing provides a gas-tight seal while allowing the drag to be adjusted to the individual preference.
  • Stainless steel ball-style valves - Corrosion-resistant balls and brass seating surfaces provide gall resistance and positive, chatter-free seating.
  • Replaceable hose connections - Hose connections are easily replaced if damaged.

      Good quality, clear gauges, does what it's supposed to. Heavy torch, but balanced in the hand. Can just cut 9" joist the long way from a single bottle with the big tip.

      Excellent Setup

      This Smith oxygen/acetylene torch setup is truly a winner. I mess with all types of torches in my field and this one honestly takes the cake. The torch by itself is a bit on the heavy side but for a heavy duty combination torch it should be expected. As far as usability goes i have no complaints. The dual oxygen adjustment helps you control your oxygen outlet with precision. I can't stress enough how important having this feature is. With the flashback arrestors it comes with and that you have a very safe piece of equipment. My favorite part of this setup is the Regulators. They are extremely robust and have the highest control rate over your gas flow i have seen so far in any regulator i've used. I recommend this setup for the professional cause of the control and cutting power but also recommend this outfit to beginners because it is so safe to use.
