28 Stick Tube - Harris Stay-Silv® 15 Brazing Rod - 15% Silver for the repair, maintenance and joining of copper and copper alloys. Stay-Silv® 15 is well suited where close fit-up does not exist, and where thermal expansion and service vibration are involved.

  • 1/8" X .050 X 20" brazing sticks
  • Chemical Composition: 15% Silver, 5% Phosphorus, Balance Copper
  • Specifications: AWS/A5.8 Class BCuP-5, Fed. Spec. QQ-B-654A, Grade III.
  • Liquidus Temperature: 1480°F (804°C)
  • Solidus Temperature: 1190°F (643°C)

    i have the stay silv 15 silver brassing sticks and i need to know if i need to use a flux with them and if so what kind of flux do i use

    When used in a copper to copper application no flux is required. If brazing copper to brass you will need a flux like Harris Stay Silv brazing flux

    Do they need flux added or pre-fluxed? strong holding on joints? Can be used on home A/C refridgerant systems, copper lines, expansion valves ,ect., will be good with freezing temp's. & pressure ?

    The Harris Stay-Silv 15 - 15% Silver Brazing Rod 15620F1 is designed for air conditioning and refrigeration applications.. When used in copper to copper applications no flux is needed.When brazing brass or copper to brass you will need a flux such as the Sta Silv white brazing flux.. It is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous metals

    I've used Harris Stay-Silv since 1980. I have used other products, but nothing compares. It is simply the best.

    i have used these rods for 20 years
    purchased these rods 20 years ago have used them on copper connections with excellent performance very easy to use with mapp gas torch. i would recommend them highly
