have to pay more for just another hole???

If you're just starting out with TIG welding, no doubt, you'll be sharpening electrodes. And the Piranha does the job. Far better and I think safer than throwing tungsten dust all over the place as well as producing points that can be more or less blunt depending on need. It's expensive and you probably can do with one of the hand held units, but I like that all the dust is kept within the unit and the speed and effectiveness is unquestioned. The unit is sturdy, heavy, the motor is strong....all is terrific....then how come only four stars....because they left out the hole for 1/8" electrodes. For those you need to spend hundreds more for the next model up....that's just absurd. So, I will eventually take the attachment off, bring it over to the mill and drill a precise 1/8" hole....and save a bunch of money....As to recommending it....I'm not sure....no doubt this was kind of a splurge based on my questionable? particular issue with tungsten dust. But if you are not using thoriated electrodes, you probably can buy a sharpener for far less.
