This is a good, but not great tungsten. Diamond Group brings in a lot of Chinese tungsten and I have a feeling this is some of it. Pay a premium price and you get the West German tungsten, but I do well with Miller/Weldcraft. Wish Cyberweld would carry Weldcraft 2% Lanthanated Tungsten WL2332X7. It is a better tungsten. I like Cyberweld because the prices are fair and the service is good, but I have to go elsewhere for this tungsten. Not Cyberweld's fault, as the name of the game is a good price for their customers.
Good price from Cyberweld for the average welder so they don't get stung as tungsten prices go up, and does much better than the 2% Thoriated for my work. Best for young welders as not radioactive. Being a little radioactive is not bad except when you grind the 2% thoriated tungsten and breathe the dust in. No problem for us old guys, as years of welding has done us in already, but not good to breathe in for young welders. The build up over time as they grow older could be very bad.
May be Chinese tungsten? Not as good as Miller/Weldcraft.
