Hobart® Handler® 190 MIG Welder 500554

The Hobart® Handler® 190 is a 190 amp MIG welder that operates on 230 volt input power. It comes spoolgun ready (for OPTIONAL SpoolRunner™ 100) and is capable of welding 24 gauge to 5/16 steel and handles a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The Handler 190 includes everything you need to weld with flux cored self-shielding wire (great for outdoor welding projects) or solid wire (just add preferred wire and shielding gas.)

It features a 7-position voltage adjustment. These added settings create a welding arc that more perfectly matches metal thickness and wire diameter than any competitor in its class. The improved arc means less spatter, professional bead appearance, excellent penetration and minimal post-weld cleanup.

Convenience features include internal storage area for spare tips and a "no tools" quick-change drive roll system with dual grooves to make changing wire diameter easy. A self-resetting thermal overload system protects the Handler 190 in the toughest welding applications.

      Great welder

      I ordered this welder a little more than a year ago. It has held up fine, but the only problems I had were with the MIG gun and the ground clamp. Don't let this discourage you from buying this little welder, as mine has held up fine and has a smooth arc. The MIG gun, after a couple months, didn't feed very well. I replaced with one from another manufacturer and my welder is working great! Same with the ground clamp, it bent, and didn't have too much clamping force, so I bought a strong one. In all, this welder is a great value. Be sure to buy one with an aluminum drive system though. Get the one with the silver ground clamp because it has the aluminum drive system rather than the plastic drive system. I can produce great welds with this machine. This welder welds 3/16" steel no problem. You can do 1/4". I would say this machine does 3/16" comfortably only. (Of course thinner metal is fine) This is an excellent beginner welder and would definitely recommend it! Pros- Affordable Made in U.S.A. Quality Smooth arc Cons- Sub-par ground clamp Sub-par MIG gun Can get this welder with a plastic drive system if not careful

      great buy

      This is the best buy on the net. Standard shiping was fast. Setup was quick and simple and i was welding in no time. It come with .030 flux cored , but i installed a 10# roll of .030 sold wire. It was easy to set up the Gas (bottle sold seperatly). This is a great welder and it makes a beginner look like a pro. My stick welder is rarely going to get any use now.

      great welder

      this is a really great welder.I used to have a Lincoln and was uhappy with the spattery welds.This machine makes a great clean weld with flux core-haven't got a gas bottle yet.The price was really good also.Shipping time was great.This is a excellent to shop-thank you Cyberweld!
