I have a miller spectrum 375 stock # 903891. It originally came with the ice 27c torch. I do a lot of freehand cutting and was always fighting the stiffness of the torches cable to the point I would velcro the cable to my forearm so that i could move it with my arm and keep it from pulling. I got tired of fighting it and it affecting my work so I decided to try this new torch. The difference is extremely noticeable. I'm not having to fight the cable at all, making it easier for me to freehand detailed cuts. The torch performs extremely well too. The viability with this torch is much better at the cut even with the drag shield. I typically do not drag my tip as and was worried that the drag shield may get in the way but so far it's only caused me a few hiccups in reaching a few cuts. I suppose if you are a fan of dragging your tips this will really cut back on the rate you go through consumables.
If you have an older torch ice and operate a cnc I would consider this torch just so your stepper motors don't have the extra drag of the stiff cable.
The torch and cable swap took me less than 10 min to complete. If you have swapped out a mig welding gun, this is about the same skill level. If not the directions are very very clear on what you need to do.
